So, if I'm having a bad day I'm a bitch and I bring everyone down. If I have a good day I'm acting oddly and annoying everyone. Ugh, I just can't win with these people.

Did you have a favorite stuffed animal, action figure, or doll growing up? If so, what was it and what happened to it?

I had a tiny pink teddy bear, and by tiny I mean tiny, it was only about 2 tall. I don't even remember where I got it, but I took it everywhere. I took it to school in my backpack, I slept with it, everything.
When my dad had to go to Miami for business, I stuck it in my little suitcase...which was lost by the airline. I remember crying so much, not for the clothes and shoes I had in my suitcase, but because I lost my little pink bear. We got the suitcase back eventually, but most of the stuff was gone, including my pink bear.
So many years have passed, and I always wonder about that little bear...

Did you have a favorite toy as a child that you took with you everywhere? If so, what was it and what happened to it?

I can't believe I'm actually sharing this, but I had a tiny pink bear that was about 2" tall that I took everywhere with me. As I got older, I carried it in my backpack to school. I would have it on my desk when I studied, next to my bed when I slept. It was the stupidest, tiniest little stuffed animal in the history of the world, but it meant a lot to me. I don't really remember where I got it from, but I had it with me all the time. One day, my parents and I went to Miami on vacation. As luck would have it, one of our suitcases went missing. In that suitcase was my little pink stuffed bear. I cried for days. Eventually, they found our suitcase, but many things were missing, including my pink bear. To this day, I sometimes wonder what happened to my little bear.

Franco & Hathaway

Hhmm...was shocked this morning when I read all the news outlets/talk shows panning Anne Hathaway and James Franco's hosting of the Oscars last night. I thought they were cute...he seems like such a dork and she seems so silly, it sort of made me want to hang out with them LOL.
At certain parts Anne seemed a little obnoxiously over excited (like when introducing Oprah and the little "whoohoo" she would do after introducing anyone), but she's so darn cute I forgive her.
I did have some problems with the writing, though. Some of the intros were ridiculously over the top: "country star" Gwyneth Paltrow? SERIOUSLY?! And the Oprah intro? *EPIC EYEROLL* Seems like the writers of these intros were trying to kiss major ass.
If anything was the problem, it was the writing, not James or Anne.

What's your deepest, darkest fear? Have you tried to overcome it?

My biggest fear is failure. I am so scared of letting someone - or myself - down. It's amazing how that one fear can paralyze me, alter my decisions, and affect my life. There are so many things I regret not attempting because of this fear I have, and sadly I'm sure there will be more in the future.

Another fear I have - not quite so serious - is a fear of butterflies. Odd, but I turn into a sobbing hysterical mess if one gets near me.

I'm just sitting out here watching airplanes take off and fly,
Trying to figure out which oneyou might be on.
-Gary Allan, "Watching Airplanes"

One day, many years ago, my dad was driving me to the park. On the way back, he stopped the car outside the airport in our small town. We stood outside the chain link fence that surrounded the airport and watched as an airplane taxied the runway and took off. For me, it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen at such a young age. It became a tradition between us - we would go, park the car, and watch the airplanes take off. I would wonder who was in those big airplanes, and where they were going. On vacation? To see family? To do what businesspeople did, like in the movies?

As I got older, we went less frequently. But when we did go, we would have these amazing conversations about everything and anything. He would ask me where we would go if we were on the airplane. Each time, I chose someplace different: Paris, New York, London. Each time we would discuss what we would do there and what we would see and why we wanted to go there. My father died in 1999, and we never made it to any of the places we discussed.

A couple of days after his death, I decided that I was going to go to all those places - and more. So I got a job, saved up my money and eventually started travelling. First New York. London - check. Paris - check. Slowly but surely, I can cross off more places. It has turned into a passion of mine: packing my bags, getting on an airplane, and going away. Exploring cities and towns, learning about people, taking in the sights. Part of me knows that this is some sort of coping mechanism...I do this and it makes me feel closer to him, like maybe he is seeing all this with me. After dealing with death and grief, some people find comfort in religion, or remembering, or counseling. I find my peace in travel.

Questionnaire

One of my favorite shows to watch on TV is Bravo's "Inside the Actor's Studio". There is something that I enjoy about watching actors in such an intimate setting, answering questions about their craft, instead of the usual gossippy questions about who they're dating, what beauty products they like, etc.

My favorite part of the show is the questionnaire that James Lipton gives near the end of the episode. It's always the same questions, and the answers given range from serious to funny. Here is the questionnaire, and my answers.
